Our Facilities


The Emmett Robinson Theatre is a 310-seat, proscenium theatre located in the Simons Center for the Arts, which was constructed in 1979. 

Theatre 220 is a 42'x54' black box theatre with a seating capacity of 106 that is available to students and faculty members for laboratory and experimental use. It is located on the second floor of the Simons Center.

The Chapel Theatre is a small, 106-seat, proscenium-style space converted from a former church sanctuary located in the Calhoun Annex, 172 Calhoun St

The Marion and Wayland H. Cato Jr. Center for the Arts offers two dance studio spaces and two acting/movement studio spaces and a lighting lab on the third floor.

The Simons Center for the Arts houses a computer/scene design lab on the second floor.

Production Support Spaces

The Scene Shop is directly behind the back wall of the stage in the Emmett Robinson Theatre inside the Simons Center. The scene shop is equipped with a wide variety of commercial quality woodworking and metalworking tools.

The Costume Studio is located on the second floor of the Simons Center in Room 218.
